It is with profound sadness that the New Zealand Society of Forensic Odontology (NZSFO) members have learnt of the death of our colleague, Dr Maurice Churton

He was a founding member and past President of the NZSFO and certainly one of the key drivers for forensic odontology in New Zealand since the infamous Erebus disaster in Antarctica

Maurice was a true leader, a clear and decisive thinker and was held in very high regard within the Society

Many of us will remember wonderful evenings in Maurice’s presence- he was a true character and will be greatly missed by the membership of the NZSFO

May he rest in peace and your family take comfort from our sincere kind wishes and wonderful memories that we have of the life of Maurice, and how he touched our hearts
